About Me:
Hi!
I'm Mere. I live in the heart of San Francisco with my husband Viet and our cat. I grew up in Alabama (Southern girl through and through), and I moved to San Francisco five years ago.
I'm obsessed with the color green. I love dark chocolate with almonds, knitting, rock climbing, pepperoni pizza, and learning new things.
By day, I'm a fundraiser for an incredible non-profit organization based in San Francisco. I work with amazing people who are some of the smartest, funniest, heartfelt folks I've ever known, and I am lucky that I somehow stumbled into a job at this amazing place.
Viet and I are officially newlyweds. We got hitched on June 2, 2012.
It was a great, great day.
On October 29, 2012, I turned 29-my Golden Birthday. This year I'm making it Golden by living each month to the fullest and focusing on learning and exploring new things that interest me. I'm Carpe Dieming it Golden Style!
About the Blog:
Not Merely Living is a place where I write about my every day life and my inspiration. Writing Not Merely Living keeps me inspired and challenged to try new things and to live a fuller, more adventureous life.
I started Not Merely Living for my At The Crossroads (ATC) I Think I Can Campaign. ATC is an amazing non-profit organization in San Francisco whose mission is “to reach out to homeless youth and young adults at their point of need, and work with them to build healthy and fulfilling lives.” Their annual I Think I Can Campaign challenges friends and supporters to tackle a personal challenge in their life while raising money for their life-changing work. My challenge in 2010 was to start this blog, because I knew it would make me happy.
This blog is a creative outlet for me. It keeps me accountable to my dreams and helps me to stay inspired. I believe strongly that you don't need to live perfectly, just purposefully. So that's what I'm working on, and that's what this blog helps me to do.
Thank you for stopping by and spending a moment with me. Please reach out and connect with me if you would like. I'm always interested in making new friends.
